Sadie’s owner is the mom of one of our training and raw food clients. She needed someone to board Sadie while she went out-of-town so she opted for our board and train program. When she arrived she was riddled with skin irritations and was on three different medications to try to control the allergies. She was constantly licking her feet and because of the nature of a Bassett hounds skin folds she has lots of redness all over her body. Besides that she was extremely overweight. We immediately put her on a raw food diet for dogs which she took to right away. Within two weeks she was a different dog. She lost some weight and was off the medications and her skin cleared up a lot. This is just another example of why dogs need to eat clean, natural food, just like us. Eat too much processed food and you can expect to pack on the pounds and deal with a whole host of auto-immune health problems.
